Our view
Streets Alive Yarra applauds Council for adopting a LAPM plan, and even better would have been to:
- Upgrade the whole area to a 30 km/h superblock
- Construct protected bicycle lanes on Bridge Road, Burnley Street and Swan Street
- Convert free parking to either permit-only parking or metered parking
- Adopt a larger budget of $1.5-1.9m, similar to that for LAPM 3 and LAPM 13
