Streets Alive Yarra advocates for most on-street parking in Yarra to be ‘permit only’, with digital permits sold by smartphone apps. Drivers ‘check in’ to a parking bay when they arrive, then ‘check out’ when they leave. Drivers can see what the hourly charges are, and the app automatically manages the payment.
