Parking on the footpath

One problem is that drivers park on the footpath, which degrades access and amenity for people walking, including parents pushing prams or people using a wheelchair. If the street is too narrow to support two lanes of on-street parking, then one lane of parking should be removed.

Street width

O’Grady Street is only 6 metres wide. If we align with the City of Moonee Valley policy on narrow streets, this means that the carriageway can only accomodate parking on one side. Or, Council needs to conduct more regular enforcement.
