Our view
It’s great to see that support for walking and cycling crosses the political spectrum, from the socialist mayor of Paris to the conservative prime minister in the UK. If the Tories can understand the benefits of investing in active transport, then so can Councillors in the City of Yarra.
We hope Councillors and Officers take inspiration from the Gear Change report as they develop Yarra’s upcoming Integrated Transport Plan.
