Saint Phillips Street is a residential street in Abbotsford, close to Collingwood Station.

One problem is that people park their cars up on the footpath, which restricts access for people walking, pushing a pram, or rolling in a wheelchair.

Council can solve this, and deliver safe access for people walking or rolling, by enforcing council’s existing rule that drivers shouldn’t park on the footpath. If residents are concerned about the risk of their vehicles being sideswiped, owing to the narrow width of the carriageway, then another option is to restrict parking to only one side of the street.
