A shared zone is a where people walking or biking share the space with people driving. In a 10 km/h shared zone, people walking have priority over people driving. An example is on Stewart Street outside Richmond Station.

What Yarra can do

Council can improve safety and amenity for people walking and biking by building several new shared zones each year, such as outside schools, libraries, and train stations.
