The Committee for Sydney has published a report “Making Sydney a Cycling City“:
The report identifies a 10 step plan, of which steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 are “fund infrastructure”:

The report aligns with a similar report from the Committee for Melbourne:
Recommendation 15: Create an urban environment which encourages the uptake of active transport.
Transporting Melbourne

Our view
Streets Alive Yarra applauds the Committee for Sydney for publishing this report, and calls on the Victorian state government to follow the recommendations to fund infrastructure for cycling, including:
- returning revenue from the congestion levy to councils, so they can invest in congestion busting infrastructure for walking and cycling
- building the VicRoads Principal Bicycle Network
- funding 30 km/h zones across inner Melbourne
