Our view

Streets Alive Yarra supports the recommendations in the report, i.e. to add protected and separated bike lanes on shopping streets, as well as wider footpaths and more trees, because they align with other best-practice design guides as well as our own experience. The next step is for the Victorian State Government to acknowledge the evidence and start funding better infrastructure on our shopping streets.
