Streets Alive Yarra has made a submission to the City of Yarra, responding to the petition from teachers at Princes Hill Secondary College, asking for free parking permits. The submission argues that council should not offer free permits to teachers, because this would create a precedent leading to many more cohorts of workers demanding free permits for them too. Instead, the submission argues that council should better manage on-street parking, including offering all-day parking permits for sale.
