Transurban have released an industry report on urban mobility trends from COVID-19.
The report describes a range of implications for transport networks, pointing out that demand for public transport will decrease, potentially overloading roads:

Our view
We agree with Transurban that cycling will increase as people avoid public transport, and as traffic congestion continues to worsen. State and Local Governments should take note, and follow the lead of New South Wales, by investing in a network of protected bicycle lanes.
